Hi, my name is DJ.
I've always enjoyed taking photos. It's always been an interest of mine. There is just something extraordinary about the ability to capture a moment in time.
I got my start as the family photographer, snapping rolls and rolls of photos of birthday parties, holidays, and just ordinary everyday events. As I entered my teen years it almost became an obsession for me.
I try to take my camera wherever I go as I always find myself in situations where I wish I had it, knowing that I lost the chance to get a once in a lifetime shot.
Everyone tells me what a good photographer I am. I always chuckle when accepting this compliment because I am not really a "photographer". I'm more of a hobbyist, a point and shoot type of person, but I have been fortunate to have taken some really beautiful shots over the years, the bulk of which can be found here.
